OUR COMPANY HISTORY
THE THOMAS USAF JOURNEY
Mike Thomas (CPA) founded both divisions of the company as the Chairman and investor in the USAF Funds and Thomas USAF Group, LLC. The ideas for his business models originated from his experience heading the Small Business Administration (SBA) Transition and Reorganization Team for President Jimmy Carter, co-authoring the SBA Model Service Provider Agreement and, as a partner at Ernst & Young, setting up the Ethanol Guarantee Loan Program for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Mr. Thomas went on to found and manage eight lending and investment institutions specializing in SBA and USDA loans, including B&I Lending, the #1 USDA RD Lender in the nation from 1997 to 2001.
Established in 1983, Thomas USAF’s Loan Origination Division is one of the largest originators ($4 Billion+) of USDA and SBA loans in the country today.
Similarly, its Secondary Market Division is the nation’s leading direct investor in government guaranteed loans and has been active since 1986.
