Lazy-Days Storage

Thomas USAF Group originated this $3,000,000 SBA 7(a) loan to Lazy-Days Storage, LLC.  The loan proceeds will be used to construct a 308-unit, conventional 48,000 square foot self-storage facility located next to Holiday and Lazy Days Marina on Lake Lanier in Buford, Georgia.  At closing, Thomas USAF Group purchased the guaranteed portion from the lender, paying them a premium and cashing them out of most risk.

The self-storage facility will consist of six, non-climate controlled buildings with unit sizes ranging from 10×10 to 10×30.  Rental of the subject units will be through the office at the adjoining Holiday Marina property.  Not only is there a great need for more self-storage facilities in this area, but the borrower has a strategic advantage with their location, trademark name and partnership with Holiday and Lazy Days Marina which is one of the largest fresh-water marinas in the country.  The facility will be open for operation at the start of 2021.
